Find My Fit
Not sure which fixing will actually fit your acoustic slat wall panel? This guide walks you through measuring your panel properly and matching it to the right product, so you order the correct size the first time.
1. Measure the felt gap, not the slat width
The measurement that matters is the gap in the felt backing between two slats, not the width of the wooden slat itself. Most of our push-fit and interlocking accessories clip into this felt gap, so an accurate gap measurement is what determines fit.
Use a ruler or calipers and measure the gap itself, at the felt, rather than estimating by eye.
2. Check the gap-size options on the product you're looking at
Each product page lists the gap widths it's available in, for example a range such as 10mm-20mm, or a single fixed size. Compare your own measurement against the options listed on that specific product before ordering — sizes vary between products, so check every item individually rather than assuming one size fits all our products.
3. Understand the four fitting methods
Push-fit — clips directly into the felt gap between two slats. No tools or drilling needed. This is the most common fitting method across our slat wall range.
Screw-fit — secured with a screw for extra hold, either through a fixing point or directly into the panel. Look for this on items designed to carry more weight or that need to stay firmly in place.
Interlocking — pieces click together end to end along a run, useful for cable covers and longer installations where more than one piece needs to join seamlessly.
Self-adhesive — fitted with adhesive tape or pads rather than clipping into the gap. Used mainly for socket and switch surrounds, where the piece sits over a faceplate rather than in the felt gap.
Each product page states which of these methods it uses, so check the listing rather than assuming based on a similar-looking item.
4. Measure in more than one position
Felt gaps can vary slightly across a single panel, and panels can vary from batch to batch even within the same range. Measure at two or three different points along the area you plan to fit into, rather than relying on a single measurement, and use the smallest gap you find as your guide.
5. Still not sure? Ask us before you order
Panel styles and gap sizes vary between manufacturers, and we haven't independently measured every panel on the market — so we won't promise a universal fit across all brands. If you're at all unsure whether a product will fit your specific panel, contact LB Boutique with a photo of your panel and your gap measurement, and we'll help you check before you order.
